- Cumming Farmers Market, Cumming City Center, Saturdays 7 to 11 a.m., through the season.
- Lake Lanier: Mary Alice Park and Bald Ridge Marina are the closest public access points for a walk or a swim. [Placeholder: current lake level and parking fees.]
- Sawnee Mountain Preserve: the Indian Seats trail is the easy win with kids. Trailhead parking fills early on nice days.
- Big Creek Greenway: paved, stroller-friendly, with access points off Bethelview Road and Union Hill.
